Today, I will be sharing my views about Forest Essentials Rasa Activating Serum. This activating serum belongs to the recently launched ‘First Beauty Ritual by Forest Essentials’. This range offers two products: Rasa Activating Serum and Tejal Balancing Water. I purchased and tried both of these products but this review is all about the serum.

The Sanskrit term Rasa translates to inner “essence” an intricate process of contemplative abstraction in which energy suffuses surrounding form, and is precisely how this magical serum works its transformation on the skin.
• Charged with brightening Mulethi, cell turnover boosting Priyngu seed, hydrating Neel Kamal seed and glycolic acid rich Sweet Potato extract, Rasa Activating Serum leaves the skin exceptionally buoyant, smooth and radiant.

My Experience with Forest Essentials Rasa Activating Serum:

Packaging:
Forest Essentials Rasa Activating Serum comes in an amber colored glass bottle with a dropper. The dropper has an angled tip and works perfectly. The bottle has a small opening for the dropper. The bottle is small and does not leak, which makes it travel-friendly. However, it has to be kept safely as it is made of glass. The product related important information has been provided on the bottle. This activating serum comes in an outer cardboard box, which houses all the details regarding the product.

Texture and Fragrance:
Forest Essentials Rasa Activating Serum is extremely lightweight. It has watery consistency and non-sticky formula. The lightweight formula of this serum makes it get absorbed by the skin easily. The serum is golden colored and has a mild, fresh and pleasant fragrance. The fragrance does not irritate the nose and gets disappeared as soon as the serum sinks into the skin.

Usage/Results:
As stated, I take a few drops on my palms, rub them together and then apply the serum by patting it over the forehead, chin, cheeks and neck. The serum is watery which makes it perfect to be used as the first step in skin care regimen. I use it twice a day and follow up with Tejal Balancing Water and essence. I also pat it on my under eye area and it does a great job of hydrating dry patches.

The serum sinks into the skin within a few seconds of application, leaving the skin soft and hydrated. It does not make skin greasy or tacky. In fact, there is no trace of the serum once it gets absorbed by the skin; my skin literally drinks up all the serum. It does not make the skin plump but it definitely replenishes moisture. Of course, we must not depend only on this serum for complete hydration.

This serum makes my skin instantly hydrated. It also makes my skin radiant, but not like a twinkling star. The glow is soft and very subtle. In the first couple of uses, this serum caused breakouts over my forehead. Those were tiny bumps that got healed in a day. I haven’t faced the same situation till now. Other than that, the serum does not cause any other irritation to the skin.

With the regular usage, this serum has made my skin vibrant, softer and smoother. It freshens up the skin without any doubt. However, with orange peel extract and sweet potato in it, it should have shown a significant result in treating uneven skin tone and dark spots. The serum does minimal work in making the skin even toned and does almost nothing in reducing/fading the dark spots.

I know, it didn’t mention treating spots, but it does mention cell turnover and rejuvenation. And, the cell turnover and rejuvenation ultimately helps in lightening the skin tone along with fading dark spots. I might see some results in the long, who knows!

Overall:
Forest Essentials Rasa Activating Serum is a good buy to up your skincare game. It is hydrating and nourishing and makes the skin soft, smooth and radiant. It has improved the texture of my skin with each passing day. It has slightly improved uneven skin tone too. Wish it treated dark spots as well.
